I decided to check this online tutorial on Youtube (now that the submission date is approaching), because I want to be sure that I have done all my work in the best possible way. THIS short video was helpful because it made me understand why reading back at your work is so important.
First of all, it is essential to proofread everything you write because of other people (employers, teachers etc.) judgment. Making grammar mistakes can penalise you to the extent you might not get hired for a job you are applying for. It mostly shows that you haven't put the effort required to check your writings.
Whilst you are writing, it is easy not to see any mistakes (grammar or even content related mistakes). An external reader, on the other hand, is more likely to look at your writing more objectively. A great tip to avoid getting blinded by your writing is to Pause, and read back at your work when it has slipped from your mind. In that way, it will be easier to spot any left mistakes and fix them.
Another great tip is to listen to your writing using websites or software (like Natural Reader) that can read it for you. A wonderful way to proofreading is also using software like Grammarly to check your spelling and grammar mistakes.
This short video helped me out understanding what to do next. Now, I am in my final stage where I mostly have all I need to submit my work. From today, I will start reading back to all I have written so far so that no grammar/spelling mistakes will affect my result. Also, I will try using Natural Reader to help me out checking my work.
