This LinkedIn Learning video was by far my favourite out of the bunch I watched. SketchUp is one of the software I use the most and I have the most fun with. This tutorial was reasonably long, but it was also extremely detailed. In the online lecture, the designer (John Romeo) explained step by step how to design (and render) a full-scale set. The set itself wanted to convey the feel of a loft/apartment in a big city (in a red bricks building and with a huge tilted window). It was very interesting to understand how easy/fun it is to create a detailed visual of how a set should look like, from the thickness of the walls to the position of the lights. I have worked quite a lot on SketchUp and I am perfectly aware of how long the process can take. It takes an enormous amount of hours, but the process itself is so much fun. Watching this video inspired me to start working again on SketchUp! It has been a while since the last time I used it and I feel like now, with the Christmas Holidays approaching, is the best time to start playing around with it more, and who knows, I might find inspirations for my Final Major Project!
